The Nikon EZ-Micro Stereoscopic Microscope 8142 is Nikon 's first stereoscopic microscope with a compatible light source for use with Stereo Microscopes. The new Nikon EZ Micro Microscope is a revolutionary viewing accessory certain to find popularity with a wide range of users, including birders, naturalists, collectors, jewelers, law enforcement agencies and researchers.
The Nikon EZMicro Stereo Microscope allows users to observe microscopic objects with a 20x fixed lens while simultaneously photographing them with one of the 16 compatible Nikon COOLPIX digital cameras. Illuminated by two white LED lights with a 3-step power switch, the Stereo Microscopes has a close focus distance of 1.5 inches above the base of the stage, a real field of view of 11 diameters and a wide interpupillary distance adjustment of 51mm to 72mm. The entire optical system of this Nikon Microscope produces an erect, unreversed image, with the eyepiece diopter separately adjustable.
The Nikon EZ-Micro Stereoscopic Microscope is compatible with any of the following COOLPIX camera and Fieldscope digital camera bracket combinations: COOLPIX S1, S3, S5, S6, S7, S7c, S8, S9 + FSB-5, COOLPIX P3/P4 + FSB-4, COOLPIX P1/P2 + FSB-3, COOLPIX 5600 + FSB-2 or the COOLPIX 4200, 5200, 7900 + FSB-1A. Magnification varies depending on the camera used. For example, when the COOLPIX P3 or P4 is connected, the widest-angle setting is approximately 20x with a maximum telescopic setting of approximately 70x. These same camera/bracket combinations can also be used with any Nikon Fieldscope and digiscoping eyepiece for a complete digiscoping system.
Weighing approximately 21 ounces (minus camera and bracket) and powered by one alkaline AA Stereo Microscopes that provides 10 hours of operation, the EZ-Micro unit measures just 5.3" x 5.7" x 4.2", when not in use. The height varies from 6.4" to 7.95" when in use. Like all Nikon products, the EZ-Micro is covered by Nikon's 25-year limited warranty and the exclusive No-Fault Repair/Replacement policy.
