These rapid plasma reagin (RPR) test kits are developed for use in large-scale testing in public health and clinical laboratories
Kits use mechanical rotation, antigen suspension, and specially prepared, plastic-coated test cards for the serologic detection of syphilis. The recommended speed for rotation is 100rpm. The rotator should circumscribe a circle approximately 2cm in diameter in the horizontal plane. Refrigeration is recommended for storing the antigen suspension ampules. The disposable BD Dispenstirs devices allow the transfer of specimen to the card surface. An antigen dispensing bottle with a needle serves for accurate drop delivery of antigen. Spot cards feature circle spots 18mm in diameter.
