These Celestron Microscopes feature two 10x and 15x extra wide field eyepieces and objective lenses of 2x and 4x. These lenses and eyepieces combine to provide powers of 20x, 30x, 40x, and 60x which covers the most advanced user applications for serious low power viewing. These low power magnifications are perfect for giving an in-depth detail of larger sized items such as insects, plants, flowers, rocks, stamps, coins, PC boards, hair, etc. Holding the two 10x eyepieces is the microscope 's binocular head that is inclined 45° and rotates 360° allowing for comfortable viewing in any position. The Celestron Professional Stereo Microscope has a Halogen Lamp for top illumination with an adjustable brightness control, optimizing the top light shining down upon large objects. In combination with the halogen lamp, these Celestron Pro Microscopes have a fluorescent bulb for bottom illumination, used to optimize bottom lighting from below for slide viewing and for items that are transparent. The stage of Celestron Stereo Microscopes is 95mm (3.7") in diameter, with stage plates that are black/white and frosted/opaque, giving the user options to use whichever background best enhances the view of an object.
